Dear all, **with apologies for cross-posting** I am extra delighted to invite everyone to a big day of networking, helping each other and sharing updates on the tools and projects (relating to preservation, discovery and management of research data) you have been working on: the RESEARCH DATA SPRING SHOWCASE. Research data spring (https://www.jisc.ac.uk/rd/projects/research-data-spring ) is an initiative that started in 2014 and has funded 16 projects throughout the past 2 years to develop prototypes and enhance existing tools for managing research data. The showcase is the last event within the initiative. When: 20 October, 10:45 to 16:00 Where: The University of Birmingham Register: https://www.jisc.ac.uk/events/research-data-spring-showcase-20-oct-2016 The day will be structured around a series of lightning talks, where the research data spring projects + other RDM related projects will be introducing their tools, followed by networking and Q&A. The event is free to attend and promises 1 hour of lightning talks, 3 hours of networking, 1 hour of real help for a real blocker in your project/work, good coffee and free lunch!
