Hi Jules

Remembering way back when…  I edited a book called: A guide to developing effective storytelling programmes for museums for London Museums Hubs.  I have searched online and the original link has been deleted but it can be found here: http://docplayer.net/8707269-A-guide-to-developing-effective-storytelling-programmes-for-museums.html.  It might be of use to you.

Best wishes

Hi Jules

Other  thoughts that might result in more local contacts for you are:

The Society for Storytellers their website has been experiencing some problems recently but you could contact them through https://www.facebook.com/societyforstorytelling/

There are loads of fab storytellers in your area .A good fairly local storyteller who might be worth contacting Taffy Thomas...

Hi Jules

There may be some useful ideas and resources from the MLA Cumbrian Magpie project where we bought teachers in to look at the collections and develop lesson plans.  Tullie, The Beacon, Senhouse, Keswick, Haig Pit and NPHT all took part.

I have the resources if you'd like to see them.

Hi all out there in GEM-land

I am currently considering how to use our Museum Collections as a stimulus for literacy in primary schools and wondered if anyone had any examples of good practice that they would be willing to share..

I am especially interested in how the sessions were developed and how they are delivered.

Already excited about the flood of useful emails that will hit my in-box in the next 24 hours!

Maybe I should get out more....

Thanks, in anticipation
