Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for soon and sincere reply.I see the front part of the reply. But I still feel puzzle on " the image has not been brain extracted. The *_brain image then contains the brain extracted version of that same image". The image refer to high resolution structure image,is it right? how to produce image end _brian.The brain has not been brain extraction means the raw image including brain skull? Looking forward to more help. Thanks a lot!

Have a good weekend

Nancy

Hi,

We do recommend non-linear registration as it significantly improves the accuracy of the registration and hence gives better results.

What we mean by a whole head image is simply one that contains most of the brain within the field of view (i.e. there are no large parts of the brain that have been cut off) and also that the image has not been brain extracted. The *_brain image then contains the brain extracted version of that same image.

I hope this helps.

All the best,

            Mark

Hi dear folks and experts,

Looking froward to your sincere help. When I run Melodic GUI, usually I will choose linear registration. But May better registrtion results will come out if I add nonlinear registration. Prompt message showed I 'd better have whole head image which end in _brain. My question is(1) the whole head image means image with brian bone, is it right? (2) how to produce such image? (3)It only refer to the structure image and template image? is it right? The template in my study is produce by the study subjects themself and it is one image without brain bone, How to do next? Thanks a lot in advance.

Best
