Whilst I loathe the task, and it is made more difficult this year without the pdf, I cannot see an alternative at this point in the year - the majority of students I am "removing" are students who are in their 3rd year with us, because they had 2 attempts at Yr 1 and are only now in Yr 2. As we do not submit an ILR (to show them on role) until the beginning of December, they can't possibly know this from our ILR data at the moment. They also have no way of knowing about the learner who did not return for second year on grounds of ill health (and haven't picked up on the deceased student even though I believe that was reported in the ILR, but of course only in the "no contact" field, not against their courses..... What is frustrating is that their trawl of last year's ILR has not been date filtered - so students who withdrew after a few weeks in the autumn as shown as on role when it was always "on role in January" wasn't it?
