##############################...oh, the stupidity in adverts for EE posts can have additional stupidities - there was an advert here recently for an EE requiring applicants to have a PhD! That was for an EE of regular programmes, not for appointment as a PhD examiner - how stupid is that? How on earth can the D-Level descriptors have any impact on competence to be an external examiner? - and that advert was from a university which of all entities should understand how incredibly narrow some PhDs are and the set of transferable skills in the D-Level descriptors is the narrowest set of transferable skills in all the level descriptors......I really worry about academics or academic managers who write adverts containing requirements like that.....!
