Please find attached details of a special conference marking 20 years of fire-related research, development and innovation (RE16). Looking Back, Looking Forward will be held on Tuesday November 15 2016 at West Midlands Fire Service HQ. Located in Birmingham City Centre, the venue is within walking distance of New Street and Moor Street stations and also convenient for Birmingham International Airport.


Presentation themes this year include: the organisation and management of fireand rescue services (FRS); the role of FRS in community safety and community engagement; collaborative working; firefighter health, welfare and wellbeing; improving FRS' operational response; addressing firesetting; fighting fires and fire safety in particular environments; and community resilience and emergency preparedness.
