Just to add to this, would I be right in thinking that if/when we get our GDPR-alike legislation there's a good chance that you would be required to inform requesters if we are going to use their details in this way?
I suspect that there would be significantly less enthusiasm for doing this kind of thing if the people insisting on it understood that the requester would actually know about it.
