Subject: Apply to speak at CIUK 2016

Apply to speak at Computing Insight UK 2016
www.stfc.ac.uk/ciuk<http://www.stfc.ac.uk/ciuk>

This year, Computing Insight UK (CIUK) will take place on the 14-15 December 2016 at Manchester Central. Each year, CIUK aims to provide a programme of engaging and thought-provoking speakers highlighting the various ways high performance computing, data-centric and cognitive technologies are accelerating research, boosting business and changing the world around us.

We are currently accepting applications for presentations/speaker slots in the main programme at the event. Each slot will be 30 minutes and provide the opportunity for you to share the challenges and success of real life projects using the latest computing technologies, discuss a current hot topic in the evolving world of high performance computing, present your research findings or even show an exciting demonstration.

Are you working at the leading edge of high performance computing, data analytics or cognitive technologies? Would you like to share your successes, challenges and thoughts with a diverse audience of 400+ (based on 2015 attendance figures) like-minded researchers, technical staff and commercial decision-makers?

Brief abstracts of no more than 300 words, summarising what you wish to present and relevant justification or information to support your application, should be sent to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. We encourage you to think about how you will make your presentation as engaging as possible, and include this in your abstract. Abstracts may be submitted in pdf or doc format. All applications will be reviewed by an external panel made up of Alan Real (University of Leeds), Matt Ismail (Warwick University), Simon Burbidge (Imperial College London) and Michael Gleaves (STFC Hartree Centre). Full papers or more detailed outlines of presentations will then be requested from successful applicants.

Important Deadlines
Friday 19 August - Deadline for abstracts
Monday 5 September - Successful applicants will be informed

This is your opportunity to be part of the UK's event for HPC, data-centric and cognitive technologies.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts.
