VACANCY OVERVIEW:

Applications are invited for up to 2 Research Associate positions to work on the project: "Intractable likelihood, New Challenges for Modern Applications (i-like)". It is expected that one post will be based at the University of Warwick although ample opportunity for collaboration with i-like researchers at Bristol, Lancaster and Oxford will be available.

The i-like project is a large and broad statistical research project tackling challenging research problems in statistical inference for intractable likelihood. It involves the collaboration of the above named institutions and is led by Gareth Roberts, Christophe Andrieu, Paul Fearnhead, David Firth and Chris Holmes.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,143 pa). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£28,982 pa).

Fixed term contract 20 months.
