Please come to our Staithes festival weekend of art, history, science, live music, great food, outdoor cinema and much more.
Particle physicist, Christopher Toth will talk about the search for dark matter at the Boulby Mine lab, ( 1000 metres underground).
Other talks on geology ; Roger Osborne ( Floating Egg) will identify fossils- please bring your own!
Citizen science project, Capturing our coast from the university of Hull will present their work and look out for new volunteers.
Find the Dark Matter talk in The Smugglers venue, High St above the art gallery. It will be popular with places on a first come, first served basis. It's free entry with donations requested. Profits go to the festival which is a registered charity supporting local good causes.
Start time 12.30 both days.
