I don't have any experience with this publication directly, but I can tell that the company and website are relatively new. 
A quick Whois lookup of the domain reveals: Creation Date: 2016-03-30T17:14:45Z
This seems to be inline with their website, as they don't claim anything beyond a team with experience and only seem to have one issue on their "previous editions" page which is an online magazine powered by https://www.3dissue.com/

The company was established on 4th April this year (according to Companies House *) by Nicholas Brake, who has recently stepped down as director of MYLOVELYPARENT LIMITED. 

I don't know if any of that helps you, beyond confirming that it's a registered startup company.

They’ve approached a number of researchers and we’ve been asked to give some advice. From what I understand you pay a fee to publish with them.
