Dear MCGers,
We are looking into live streaming our events and I was wondering if anyone had any advice.
Equipment-wise, we have a mini DV camera with HDMI output, which could connect to a Macbook through one of these gizmos. But if anyone can think of an alternative I’d be keen to hear. We’re on a shoestring so it couldn’t be anything fancy.
We were thinking of using Google Hangouts to stream evening events for free. But for specialist conferences we might consider a paywall, using a service like Webinars On Air.
So, any advice on live streaming equipment and service providers, and thoughts on charging?
