This position will complement and bolster a world-class core of researchers focused on understanding the psychological and neural processes underlying emotion and its regulation. In this search cycle, priority will be given to affective scientists studying dispositional or situational moderators of emotion, including culture, ethnicity, gender, status, and/or personality traits. The successful candidate will contribute to one or more existing graduate programs. The University has created a state of the art research facility to support fMRI and PET, and an interdisciplinary neuroscience program (http://tamin.tamu.edu). Applicants should have an outstanding record of research achievement, demonstrated potential for or evidence of extramural research funding, and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. A Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely-related field is required.
