The tasks of the successful candidate will be to

- keep up-to-date processing software and hardware in collaboration with local IT staff
- implement or develop novel methods in cryo-EM (e.g. automation of sample handling) in collaboration with local engineers
- co-organise practical training in cryo-EM for internal and external users.
- contribute expertise to in house structural biology research projects in collaboration with EMBL Grenoble group leaders.
- liase with the electron microscopists at EMBL Heidelberg and Hamburg.

- Good communication skills in English

EMBL is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer offering attractive conditions and benefits appropriate to an international research organisation with a very collaborative and family friendly atmosphere.
