Learning through Objects: Transformative Pedagogies in Practice
Wed 23 Nov 2016
UAL: London College of Communication
SE1 6SB (nearest tube Elephant & Castle)
Objects have been used to support teaching and learning since the earliest days of art, design and communication education, stimulating curiosity and ongoing interest. The transaction between the object and the viewer enables meaning construction. Decoding objects develops transferable skills such as critical thinking and communication. Objects can help to develop a deeper understanding of one’s own assumptions and beliefs.
