Dear Colleagues

We are seeking a new colleague to join the Strategic Planning team at the University of East London. UEL is a creative and welcoming institution, rooted in its East London civic identity, with a mission to enable people to fulfil their academic potential.

We are seeking a new colleague to take on a range of responsibilities within the Strategic Planning office. Managing a friendly and passionate team of staff, you will have responsibility for submitting student data to external bodies and ensuring that data returns prepared across the institution are consistent, compliant and maximise the University’s financial and competitive standing. You will also manage key items of internal reporting and planning such as the preparation of student number targets, analysis of performance indicators and development of the use of business intelligence practices within UEL. You will be expected to keep abreast of policy developments in higher education and to play a major role in UEL’s strategic planning processes alongside Deans of School, Service Directors and the Vice-Chancellor's Executive Group.

Educated to degree level, you will be highly numerate with a strong ability to generate analysis and insight from data, and will have significant experience of student data returns. You will also have experience of line management and will demonstrate proven project management skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as is knowledge of the current HE policy environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in making a real difference whilst being supported to learn and build excellent experience.
