Looks like a fragment of pig scapula to me.

Best wishes,

Julia

Dear Zooarch:

I'm currently in the field and do not have immediate access to a comparative collection. I was hoping someone on this list could provide some assistance with the identification of the following "mystery bone" of which four photos can be found at the following link: http://zooarchaeology.ning.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?screenName=36sdjbectw651. The bone is from a Late Bronze Age context in Israel.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hoping everyone is having a great summer, Cheers!
