Dear Barbara, I'd say this is due to blood vessels being detected due to their very bright signal, which are classified as non-brain tissue and are removed from the intensity-/noise-corrected image (similar to non-brain tissue like skull, eyes, ...), resulting in "holes". Maybe you can post a screenshot of the raw image for comparison? Best Helmut
