Archives Specialist

Edinburgh, 21 Hours per week, permanent

As an Archives Specialist you'll use your positive attitude, your knowledge of records and your ability to deliver high quality cataloguing and other projects.

It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from exporting catalogue data to promoting collections and developing professional skills. We'll look to you to scope and plan work, engage with the library and archives team, supervise project work, and demonstrate professional knowledge. It's a great way to build your knowledge of our work and develop your potential.

As our Archives Specialist you'll lead on projects impacting on the whole organisation whilst influencing our stakeholders and building key external relationships.

We expect you to look after our members and stakeholders. And we expect you to be rewarded for it. As well as a whole range of learning and development opportunities we can also offer you an impressive range of benefits. We have a highly competitive pay structure, as well as flexible working, and annual leave of up to 32 days pro rata.

To join us you'll need cataloguing skills and, ideally, a background in a relevant area such as archives or records management. Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real enthusiasm for engaging people with the RCN collections.

To succeed at the Royal College of Nursing all you need to do is think bigger, better and brighter. And with an attitude like that, anything's possible.
