Job Advertisement: Closing Date 28th July 2016 Lecturer in Astrophysics Fixed Term until 30 September 2017 Starting salary: Grade 8 GBP 38,896 The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Sheffield is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Astrophysics, on a fixed-term basis, to play an active role in the delivery of high quality undergraduate teaching and supervision. You will have a strong track record of research/teaching in astrophysics or a closely related subject and will be expected to prepare, co-ordinate and deliver teaching and assessment to our undergraduate students. You will be expected to supervise undergraduate research projects and self generate work through innovation in teaching and conducting independent research. You will hold a PhD, or equivalent, in physics, astrophysics or a related subject. The post is available from 1 Oct 2016 on a fixed term basis for 12 months to cover sabbatical leave.
