We are seeking an experienced PR professional to join our PR Department and deliver a strong public profile for King’s with particular focus on the research and teaching strengths across the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine and the
Dental Institute.
A media relations/science communications specialist, you will have excellent contacts among health, science and education journalists, a record of securing coverage across print and broadcast outlets, plus strong news-gathering skills.
The ability to translate complex scientific research into compelling copy for different audiences is essential, as is experience of creating digital content and using social media to build engagement.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of operating at a strategic level, and will possess excellent communication and influencing skills.
The appointment will be made on the College’s Grade 7 scale of £40,082 to £47,081 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance, plus excellent benefits.
The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation, an assessment and a panel interview.
Interviews are scheduled to be held the week commencing: 15 August 2016
