The British Science Association (BSA) are hosting a Glasgow branch re-launch meeting at the Glasgow Science Centre on 19 July 2016 from 18.30 – 20.00.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to [log in to unmask].

 

The BSA are also starting recruitment pushes for volunteers to join our regional branch network in Brighton, Sheffield, Norwich and Hull.

 

The BSA currently have 30 local branches throughout the UK that run a range of activities, driven by the interest of the members.  From dating in the dark and science busking  to Sciscreenings and Scibars – all events are led and organised by the branch for their community.  Our network of branches, involve nearly 400 volunteers UK-wide, who come from a range of backgrounds.  Some are professional scientists; others bring enthusiasm from non-science competencies such as events management or marketing.  As a volunteer you can give as much time as you want, from a couple of hours a month to several hours a week, it’s up to you how involved you want to be.
