Dear Colleagues,
I would like to contest jinan's remark that consciousness has no role in memorization. Without consciousness there would be no memorization. Neuroscientist Stanislas Dehaene and his colleagues have established that consciousness is in fact the very basis of memorization. It is how thought uses the resources of language and communication that the mind affords and how thoughts become formalized and durable.

Or, so I believe,
Chuck
