Registration is now open for the 2nd workshop on “Understanding complex, large and industrial data” (UCLID 2016) which will be held at Lancaster University on 12th-14th September 2016. This workshop is supported by Lancaster's Data Science Institute and the EPSRC funded STOR-i Centre for Doctoral Training.


The aim of this workshop is to bring together a number of researchers from both industry and academia to discuss the challenges faced by "Big Data" and the emergence of Data Science. We have an excellent line-up of academic and industrial researchers from statistics, machine learning and operational research covering four main streams: Foundations of Data Science & Big Data, Defence & Security, Health & Bioinformatics and Data Science in Industry. Speakers include:

As well as the invited talks, the workshop will also include a wine reception, conference dinner and poster session.
