Dear list
A few weeks ago Carr Barnes posted something on the OH Facebook page about the upcoming Future for health and work study day. It is hosted by the Occupational Medicine section of the Royal Society of Medicine and in association with the Society of Occupational Medicine.
Karen and I have supported local OHN groups highlighting on JISC the events they organise, I hope you don’t mind me raising awareness of this RSM/SOM study day. In common with the local OHN interest groups it is not for profit; a multi-professional audience, including nurses and physicians in particular, would be brilliant. The study day is scheduled for Wendesday 21 September, the venue is the RSM in London. For those familiar with the area it is close to the Oxford Circus store of John Lewis so good transport links. The RSM is behind the RCN. The event is reasonably priced: £95.00 for nurses who have no association with the RSM; £85.00 for Fellows and £160.00 for medical practitioners who are not Fellows.
The three themes for the day include:
- The future of the clinical (OH) professional in supporting and delivering occupational and organisational health
- Delivery models required to meet current and future demands for OH services
- Understanding the future from a consumer and research perspective
I am presenting a paper on a multi-disciplinary approach to occupational health
Other speakers you will know of include: Kim Burton (of Wadell and Burton) and Hugh Robertson, Head of Health and Safety at the TUC. Details of other speakers are included on this link:
