Dear colleagues I have received an enquiry from colleagues here at Oxford University looking for parasite specimens for genomics which I promised to forward on to the SSN. Adrian Smith and Greger Larson (Oxford University) and are working on a collaboration focussing on generating genomic sequences of ancient parasites recovered from archaeological sites and would like to access specimens for comparative genomic work. In the first instance they are looking for nematodes Trichuris, Ascaris, Enterobius and the cestodes Taenia and Diphyllobothrium, especially if they were collected from Europe and ideally within the last 100 years. They are also interested in material collected from elsewhere and other significant parasite material would also be potentially useful. Please direct any responses OFF LIST to Adrian Smith at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> Thank you Kind regards Mark Carnall Collections Manager (Life Collections) Oxford University Museum of Natural History Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3PW Tel: 01865272978 [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> | www.oum.ox.ac.uk<http://www.oum.ox.ac.uk/> Twitter: @mark_carnall Follow us on Twitter @morethanadodo and read our blog www.morethanadodo.com<https://owa.nexus.ox.ac.uk/owa/redir.aspx?C=7puFzEGT0UWjcDW1JxZIalf3QzPwuNIIuzCTHuoLtiAbN21I3Q_kMhLOWV9zsjQ2kS2oA94Zxvc.&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.morethanadodo.com%2f>
