Mae mentora'n wahanol i hyfforddi. P'un a ydych yn mentora aelod o staff newydd neu bobl sy'n dod atoch yn anffurfiol i gael cyngor, mae gofyn magu perthynas ac ymddiriedaeth hirdymor a rhoi o'ch profiad i arwain a datblygu'r person.
 
 
Llywodraeth Cymru sy'n darparu'r cwrs hwn, sy'n rhad ac am ddim, ac mae’n cael ei gynnig i staff a gwirfoddolwyr sy'n gweithio yn amgueddfeydd, archifdai a llyfrgelloedd Cymru. Mae'n addas ar gyfer y rheini sydd am wella'r sgiliau arbennig sydd eu hangen ar fentoriaid i fagu perthynas adeiladol gyda'u hyfforddeion. Mentoring is unlike training. Whether you are formally mentoring a new recruit or people come to you informally for advice, it involves building a relationship of mutual trust for the long term and giving the benefit of your experience to guide and develop.
 
This free course is provided by the Welsh Government and is open to staff and volunteers working in museums, archives and libraries in Wales. It is suitable for those who wish to addresses the special skills that mentors need to build a constructive relationship with their trainees. It identifies techniques that mentors can use to help learners make positive progress in a new appointment.

Requests are limited to 2 per organisation however we are happy to waitlist any others in the event the course is not fully subscribed. Once you have submitted your request your will receive an automatically generated message to confirm that your request has been received. Please note your place is not guaranteed until you receive an invitation to the course from MALD.

In order to maintain as wide a range of training opportunities as possible MALD will no longer provide lunch for training events. We will continue to provide tea and coffee on arrival and during breaks. We will also provide information on available food providers located conveniently near the venue.
