Ben,

Thanks, I need to test from home later. I've gone with the https://www.oxford journal.org variant:

https://shibboleth.highwire.org/session/init?entityID=<YourEntityID>&hw-shib-return-uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oxfordjournals.org&subcode=oupjournals&env=prod

I should have remembered we went through the same pain point with SAGE Online in May when I cobbled together:
https://shibboleth.highwire.org/session/init?entityID=<YourEntityID>&hw-shib-return-uri=http%3A%2F%2Fonline.sagepub.com%2F&subcode=sagepub&env=prod

(I think I used the LiveHTTPHeaders add-on for Firefox).

Kind regards,

Dom Benson

Hi All,

Just been testing this out myself. Looking at the authentication process that occurs when attempting to access an article, I think the WAYFless URL should be:

https://shibboleth.highwire.org/session/init?entityID=<Your Uni entity ID>&hw-shib-return-uri=http%3A%2F%2F<Journal code>.oxfordjournals.org&subcode=oupjournals&env=prod

Unfortunately, it only works when the return uri is set to a journal (any journal) - if you point it to the main Oxford Journals homepage, the authentication process appears to work correctly, but on then navigating to a subscribed title it shows no sign of recognising me and asks me to log in again.

Not great for creating a generic link to the entire collection of journals. Don't know if I am missing something important that someone else can spot.

All the best
Ben

Hi Dom

Yes they have changed it from offering an institutional login from the homepage. It now prompts you to login via your institution at the point you try to access full text.

Kindest regards,
Alli
