Dear Andrew

yes if you are able to present some learning, challenges or solutions (including ways of working) that is likely to be new to the audience.

Dear Peter.

Can this be an item that one is already carrying out as part of normal day to day activities?

Subject: Call for abstracts for T4I 2016

Dear All

As previously announced we will run the T4I conference this year http://www.t4i2016.org.uk/ (i.e. the re-branded Recent Advances in Assistive Technology and Engineering Conference).

The T4I Organisers are :

T4I board - Simon Fielden, Colin Clayton, Donna Cowan, EA Draffan, Paul Dryer, Simon Judge, Peter Cudd
T4I hosts - CATCH - Peter Cudd, Anneliese Fraser

It will occur at St. Mary’s Church and Conference Centre, Sheffield, on 28th November 2016.

We are now calling for abstracts - for presentation or as a poster.

The deadline for Abstract submission is 5th September 2016.

All areas of assistive technology and technology for independence are welcome, for example .....

        • Technology adoption;
        • Technology enhanced learning;
        • Emerging technology, e.g. Virtual Reality, Robotics, Smart materials, …;
        • Cross-platform digital accessibility;
        • Multiplatform AT;
        • And, Rehabilitation technology

Alternatively AT practitioners especially may prefer to focus on topics such as

  • Alternative and Augmentative Communication
  • Environmental controls
  • Integrating systems or solutions
  • AT in schools and for education
  • AT prescribing and/or service delivery

Authors unsure if their topic is suitable are welcome to contact any of the T4I board or email the hosts at [log in to unmask] .

CATCH - the T4I hosts - are pleased to announce that this year they will offer some speakers a free 1 year membership for the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe for 2017.

Publication and the submission process details can be found/accessed on the T4I website http://www.t4i2016.org.uk/ .

Note that the registration details and fees will be finalised very shortly. However, it is anticipated that they will be close to that previously typical, i.e. £150 for a delegate, £250 for an exhibitor - per day, and this year only 1 day is planned.

Regards

Peter Cudd on behalf of the Organisers
