BAFTA 70: Do You Remember When...? HLF funded Project Coordinator August 2016 - January 2018 The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is a charity that supports, develops and promotes the art forms of the moving image by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefitting the general public. BAFTA has been involved in supporting and shaping British cultural history through its networks, publications, awards ceremonies, events and new talent and training schemes since 1947. To celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2017, BAFTA has received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to launch a multi-media public programme 'BAFTA at 70: Do you remember when...?' The programme will share 70 'moments' from BAFTA's history using film, photography, documents and personal stories from the organisation's archive, and will explore how these moments form part of the history of British screen entertainment. To support this project, BAFTA requires a Project Coordinator with experience in a heritage or arts environment (ideally including Heritage Lottery Funded programmes) to act as a central curatorial coordinator for the project and organise the day-to-day activity of this multi-strand, multi-media project. The post is offered part-time (3 days per week) on an 18 month fixed term basis starting August 2016.
