Hi Salima,
If you are looking for comparative contexts outside Egypt, we have evidence for donkey consumption in the Hellenistic and early Roman period contexts in Beirut (Lebanon). Regarding the Hellenistic period, I haven’t published any data yet. For the early Roman period, there is a paper that should be published soon in the Proceedings of the 9th ASWA meeting (link below; 29. Yasha Hourani, Tarek Oueslati. Une accumulation d’équidés à Berytus: approche taxinomique et taphonomique).
You can contact me off list for further information.
Best wishes,

Dear All

We are working on an assemblage that is largely Ptolemaic and early Roman in date in Egypt. How many of you have evidence for Donkey consumption in Greek and Roman contexts? I am afraid that our libraries are rather limited here.

Best,

Salima
