Hi everyone, I am looking for a postdoc with expertise in computational approaches to fMRI (although this shouldn't be limiting factor when applying). More details can be found on the Caltech website. Please forward to anyone interested.

Postdoctoral Scholar in Computational Approaches to Social and Affect Neuroscience

A postdoctoral position is available in the Social, Affective and Ecological Neuroscience Laboratory (PI: Professor Dean Mobbs) in Caltech's Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Research will study the theoretical, computational and neurobiological basis of decision-making, emotion, reward, and social valuation. Focus will be on the application of models from behavioral ecology and the use of fMRI, computational modeling, machine learning and network analysis. This position will take advantage of Caltech's broad expertise in these fields.  Candidates are expected to: plan, design, analyze, draft, and bring manuscripts to publication in leading journals in either psychology or neuroscience; coach students; track IRB applications; and organize meetings.

Appointment is contingent upon completion of a PhD and relevant research experience that includes the tools and topics listed above. Salary is commensurate with experience. This postdoc appointment will run for a period of two-years with a start in September/October 2016 (with flexibility). Applications are accepted beginning June 15, 2016, and will continue until the position is filled.  Interested candidates should send a CV, 2-page statement of research interests, up to two papers, and two potential references to:  [log in to unmask] or Search Chair, Postdoc in Computational Approaches to Social and Affect Neuroscience, Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Caltech 228-77, Pasadena, CA 91125.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
