Dear SPM and DCM experts,

we compared DCM parameters (BMA) between healthy controls and patients. A reviewer asked me to sum endogenous parameters (A) and modulatory effects (B), then compare the resulted variable among diagnostic groups in order to explore the combined effect of both modulatory and endogenous parameters.
I have been looking a lot for literature using this method, but I found no studies applying this procedure.
I would say that summing A and B cannot be done. Can someone confirm this? Or if there’s any reason to do this, would you suggest to just sum A and B or some other method?

Any suggestions or comments would be very appreciate.

Thanks!
