Hi Clare,

There are a few images showing gas cooker demonstrations from the Leamington company Flavels (now part of the AGA group) on the Windows on Warwickshire website http://www.search.windowsonwarwickshire.org.uk/Search.aspx?PageIndex=1&SortOrder=2&Keyword=flavel.

I can send you scans of the leaflets if they’re of interest.

Best wishes,

Vicki

Hello

I’m looking for images of gas showroom cookery demonstrations, showcasing the latest cookers, or gas cooker cookery demonstrations in general, covering the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.  I will be contacting the National Gas Museum and am looking at local sources (e.g. Cannon archives) but just wondered if anyone out there had a gem of a photograph on this subject!

We are considering a Black Country gas showroom as part of our development plans and we know that they ran cookery demonstrations on the first floor of their building.

Many thanks

Clare
