Hellow

My name is Rachel and I am part of a Epidemiology Clinic team who gives support to the research area of a tertiary hospital specialized in Cardiology, in Sao Paulo city, Brazil. I started with the staff of an intervention in the form of group dynamics, with 100 patients and 100 caregivers in outpatient care of elderly patients. Summarizing, the intervention comes down to an activity of 5 meetings, which ultimately allow the patients to spread, as multipliers, with their peers and communities, the information received in order to facilitate healthy aging of people.

The program is designed to evaluate whether empowered patients with knowledge about health promotion has a better grip on the multiprofissional indicated treatment. To measure this process, it will be applied a structured questionnaire for 200 participants at the beginning and the end of the process and, for 4 patients and 4 accompanying, an open interview to qualitative analysis of the narrative.

The realistic method was the one chosen for this interview. A realistic intervention was adopted to build the structured questionnaire and motivational issues of the narrative. A data analysis method for the following syntheses and realistic analysis process.

Our question is whether we can count on the help of someone in the group who has this experience to help us reflect this process, since it is our first work with this methodology and we believe it is appropriate to this process, or, if you can indicate someone who works in the health education area and evaluation process, using this methodology.

I'll be in Oxford to accompany Evidence Vivo [Live] in 2016, from June  22nd to 24th. if you have someone who can talk to me on this occasion, it would pave the way for this distance supervision. If not asking too much, I wonder if you have someone who speaks Portuguese in the group, it would facilitate a lot, once some descriptors in my language has no English translation and it would be very helpful in the process.

Thanks in adavance.
