Hi Jean

I'd be interested in attending the next one. I've put it in my diary - hopefully it will be easier to keep the time clear of other commitments, as I'm not intending to move house again!!!

Cheers

Steve

Dear Rameses and Realist Colleagues,

We start with dates for the diaries for the next Realist Writers Retreat at the University of Stirling which will be on Friday and Saturday 9th and 10th September 2016. If you are interested in participating, please email and we will reserve a place for you. Please also let us know if you would find it helpful to do a presentation. We will have two 30 minute slots plus one 15 minute one, all of these times inclusive of questions. There is an option to record the presentations to allow access on request by others who cannot attend - but speakers do not need to feel obliged to do this, depending on the stage they feel they are at.

And now to the Retreat that has just been!

Feedback on Realist Writers' Retreat, University of Stirling   16th and 17th June

Mari and I wish to extend our deepest thanks to all those who participated in the Realist Writers' Retreat last weekend in Stirling. We are also very grateful to those from around the world who expressed enthusiasm for the event, although unable to come. It was another great success which we were delighted about.

The group was made up of people who had been before and others coming for the first time - some admitting that they were definitely sceptical about the whole approach. They were however very pleasantly surprised, finding definite benefit from realist peer support and discussions - and getting lots of writing done.

Our particular thanks go to David Blane, Steve Rolfe and Avril Nicoll who all presented. Avril did a practice run for a 7 minute presentation later in the year which we all found extremely interesting.

If anyone would like access to David and Steve's equally insightful and fascinating presentations, please contact us and we will send your the relevant links.

Our thanks again to everyone and we look forward to meeting and writing again in September!

With best wishes, Mari and Jean
