In most Christian churches, 24. June is the feast of the nativity of the prophet, forerunner, and baptist John (ordinarily, of course, he's either just John the Forerunner or John the Baptist).  In churches using the Gregorian calendar that feast occurs today.  Herewith a few period-pertinent images of John's birth and of other events in John's infancy:
