The Westminster Institute for Advanced Studies seeks to hire an 
executive assistant who leads the WIAS' research administration and 
works together with the WIAS' Director on the organisation of the 
institute's activities.

The Westminster Institute for Advanced Studies (WIAS) is an academic 
space for independent critical thinking beyond borders. Its aim is to 
foster and disseminate advanced studies that generate insights into the 
complex realities and possibilities of the contemporary world. It is a 
space for the development, discussion and dissemination of critical, 
innovative and creative research. One of its key features is the 
Research Fellowship Programme. Critical digital & social media research 
is the Institute’s first research theme and focus.

We seek to appoint an Executive Assistant. The successful applicant will 
work with the Westminster Institute for Advanced Studies' Director in 
fostering the success of the Institute’s research and Fellowship 
Programme. They will ensure the operation of the Institute’s 
administrative activities and its public relations and communication. 
This will involve providing administrative support, being in charge of 
creating financial and activity reports, managing the Institute’s web 
presence and social media communication, the organisation and management 
of academic events, co­ordination of the Research Fellowship Programme, 
copy-editing and layout of research reports, organisation of travel and 
accommodation arrangements and the provision of secretarial support.

Applicants should have a graduate or equivalent qualification, high IT 
literacy, experience in the professional use of social media for public 
relations in the academic field, public relations and organization 
skills, experience in financial and activity reporting, excellent skills 
in improving written academic language, and excellent interpersonal 
skills and administrative abilities.
