UKeiG Training: Blogging and Tweeting Next Steps with Ned Potter, Friday 17th June, Euston House,  London

For many information services, blogs and twitter are the two most important tools for communicating online. Ned Potter looks at how to use these tools more strategically, what works and what doesn’t, and which analytics tools can help you improve your service. Ned Potter's course is for existing users of twitter or blogs, who already know what they are and why to use them in the information environment. The focus is on how to use them more effectively.

Who should attend?

Anyone who uses twitter and / or blogs on behalf of their institution, and who wants to looks beyond the basics of what these tools are and why to use them, and focus on how to use them more strategically and effectively.

This course is for existing users of twitter or blogs, who already know what they are and why to use them in the information environment. The focus is on how to use them more effectively (and strategically), how to sustain use over time, how to build an audience and a larger network, how to analyse your own activity, tips and strategies for improving engagement, and how to measure the impact of your social media use. As this is an ‘Improvers’ level course delegates will be invited ahead of time to submit specific issues, queries or points of interest they’d like to focus on during the workshop.
