We have a handy list of abbreviations and glossary terms on the IFP wiki (
http://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/ifp/Wiki.jsp?page=Glossary). Although
these are of course more related to IFP and HERs.

This is currently being updated by the ALGAO HER Committee and it would be
good to at least point to a more comprehensive set of archaeological
abbreviations so please let us know if any further lists materialise. The
one Paul posted is not bad, I wonder how many more are out there?
