The British Council have organised two online events to raise awareness of World Refugee Day on Monday 20 June.
1) Secondary teacher training in the context of the refugee population in Palestine
A webinar describing how the British Council's Certificate in Secondary ELT course is being used with United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) trainers and teachers working with the refugee population in Palestine.
Find out further details and how to register here. Watch out for a blog post about the project too, which will be published on Voices next week.
2) Zooming in and out
Nick Bilbrough will be reflecting on the work of The Hands Up Project, a voluntary project, set up in January 2015, working online with children and teachers in refugee camps in Gaza and Jordan. He’ll explore a range of activities that can help learners with both the bits and pieces of language (zooming in) as well as the wider picture (zooming out).
Find out further details and how to register here.
Please note all EnglishAgenda and TeachingEnglish webinars are recorded and the link to the recording will be posted on the event page, soon after the event has taken place.
