The process for the allocation of Special Issues (SI) of Interacting with Computers has been overhauled. They will be chosen on the basis of open calls, and/or the need for work to lead the field. SIs are to be significant contributions to a specific area and of exceptionally high quality.

The new policy, announced by Editor-in-Chief Russell Beale, focuses on quality, timeliness, and the management capacity of the SI proposers to deliver quality papers and reviews.

This announcement constitutes the first call for proposals, which must be submitted before 1st July 2016.

See http://bit.ly/1reok2p for more information about the policy and how to propose a Special Issue.
