Hello Zooarch ListServ!

Currently working on my dissertation focussing on the process of pig domestication in North China. I'm tackling this through a combination of carbon + nitrogen stable isotope analysis and demographic profiling.

Right now I am very much preoccupied with developing possible models for both lines of evidence and attempting an exhaustive search of the literature. I'm reaching out to this savvy community to see if you have any leads on the following:

Stable Isotopes:

1. C and N isotopic signatures of wild populations of wild boar or feral pigs, anywhere in the world.

2. The effects of faeces (human or otherwise) consumption on these signatures

Demographic Profiles

1. Ethnographic data on different hunting demographics. This would include the ages and sexes of prey typically killed with different hunting tactics (i.e. trapping, netting, with dogs, etc.).

I am certainly reading quite broadly right now, so any obscure sources you think might be appropriate would be helpful.

Thank you all in advance.

Cheers!
