POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN AGENT-BASED MACROECONOMICS


Artificial Intelligence Economics Research Center (AI-ECON), Department of Economics, National Chengchi University (Taiwan) invites applications at the post-doctoral level to develop agent-based macroeconomic models (ABMs), geared towards computational policy experiments. The research will be conducted under the direction of Professor Shu-Heng Chen. The candidate is expected to work with a researchers at the lab to design, develop, simulate and analyze agent-based, behavioural macroeconomic models.


We are looking for a strongly motivated person with a background and interest pursuing research in one or more of the following areas: macroeconomics, computational economics, behavioural economics. The candidate is expected to have an expertise in programming and preferably in agent-based modelling. The candidates with a PhD in Economics/applied mathematics/computer science/computational social science or any closely related discipline are welcome to apply.

The selected candidate will join the AI-ECON lab and will be based in Taipei. The position is available starting from August 1st, 2016. The salary will be competitive.
