1 Year Fixed-Term Contract

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,000 per annum, pro-rata, with benefits plus a 15% non-contributory pension scheme

The Information Assurance team provides leadership and expertise to ensure the Royal Household's information is securely and effectively managed.

Your challenge will be to provide advice and support for best practice management of the Royal Household's varied and occasionally unique records.

Underpinning key internal operations, you'll co-ordinate archival transfer processes and the destruction of paper records. You'll ensure departments' records are retained in-line with the most up-to-date compliance obligations.

You'll organise retention schedules, provide database management, and streamline processes, making sure recordkeeping practices are effective and well maintained.

With an eye towards the future, you'll also assist with a variety of projects, including those key to the Household's move towards digital working.

The scope of your work will be broad, working with the Royal Archives and Royal Collection, as well private estates, using the latest IT systems.

You'll play a pivotal role in the development and provision of information assurance awareness training, sharing your expertise across the organisation.

About You

Educated to degree level, with a relevant qualification in information management, you'll have the knowledge to succeed.

You'll preferably have worked with recognised information security standards before, and have a good command of IT management processes, such as ITIL and IT project delivery.

Your outstanding communication skills will be vital in this role, as you'll need to advise and influence effectively with colleagues across all teams.

Organisation and time management will be important too, especially in order to prioritise schedules to meet the needs of a truly diverse organisation.

You'll also have a good eye for detail, and be capable of processing large amounts of data and compiling accurate reports regularly.

Your initiative, imagination and 'can do' attitude means you'll be an asset and great advocate for the IA Team.

Above all, your customer focused approach means you'll be committed to delivering results that will benefit the wider organisation.
