The Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, is seeking applications for tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in all areas of experimental physical and inorganic chemistry, particularly those related to electrochemistry / energy systems, polymer chemistry / soft matter, surface science and catalysis.

Candidates for these positions must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or associated disciplines, two or three years of post-doctoral research experience, and a distinguished record of publications.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop an independent program of high-impact research in their area of expertise, and to contribute significantly to the undergraduate and graduate teaching activities of the department. Outstanding candidates of proven independent academic record may be considered for higher positions.
