META'2016

International Conference on Metaheuristics and Nature Inspired Computing

Special session : Metaheuristics for supply chain and logistics optimization

27-31 Oct 2016 Marrakech, Morocco

Still few days for the deadline submission ...

SCOPE : Logistics and Supply Chain Management fields lead to real-world optimization problems with increasing complexity. In a very high cost reduction environment, optimization of flows, storage and transportation activities becomes more and more relevant.
Metaheuristics are a family of optimization methods that can be useful to solve a wide variety of problems. Their modularity, their capacity to manipulate a huge mass of data and their ability to manage uncertainties give them a lot of assets for tackling the hard optimization problems that can play a role in the supply chain management.

This special session invites the submission of works in which metaheuristics are used in the logistics area. It concerns the following topics, including but not limited to:
- Metaheuristics implementations in logistics-related problems
- Logistics network design
- Supply chain and uncertainties

- optimization in collaborative supply chain

- hybridization metaheuristic / optimization method or metaheuristic / performance evaluation model

IMPORTANT DATES

-         May 27, 2016: Extended Paper submission deadline

-         June 3, 2016: Notification to the authors

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

This special session will be held as part of the META’16 conference. Please submit your paper using the online submission system, as described in the instructions for authors. During the submission process you should indicate that the paper is for a special session, which is: ‘Metaheuristics for Supply Chain and Logistics Optimization’. Detailed instructions for submitting the papers are provided on the conference home page at:
