An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Assistant to work at the Information Law and Policy Centre at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, part of the University of London. 

This role would be well suited to a Masters or PhD student - ideally someone with an interest in information and communication law and policy.

Duties

  • Updating blog and social media accounts. 
  • Providing basic support for Information Law and Policy research projects and research proposals e.g. conducting background research and compiling contact lists.
  • Writing event reports. 

Essential skills and experience

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills. 
  • A good level of competency in IT and internet use, including a good working knowledge of social media tools.
  • An enthusiasm for and understanding of contemporary information law and policy issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
This role is for 2 days a week / 14 hours (with flexibility for vacations) and will be starting in May.
 
The rate of pay is £15.18 per hour + holiday pay.
