Dear all,

The Library & Information History Group is seeking a new Events Coordinator. The role holder is responsible for organizing events such as library visits, seminars and our popular walking tours (currently two per year), and for managing and administering bookings. Most events are free, apart from the walking tours. Ideally we would like events organized around the country; while the walks currently only take place in London we would like to be able to offer them in other parts of the country. The Events Coordinator liaises closely with the Publicity Officer and Wed Editor to advertise events and coordinate our social media accounts.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in library and information history to enhance their personal and professional development by getting involved with an active Special Interest Group. It would suit a well-organised individual who likes to engage with Twitter and other social media. The role holder must be a member of the LIHG, or willing to join.
The successful candidate will be required to attend committee meetings wherever possible. We currently have two 'face-to-face' meetings and two online meetings. Travel costs will be reimbursed. The role holder spends approximately four hours a month on the role. We would like to fill the post by Monday 30 May.

If you are interested in applying for the role, or simply want more information about it, please contact Renae Satterley, Chair, at:
