Dear all

I've received a request from our Head of Community Informatics about how the library can support the horizon scanning for the Trust's Digital Maturity Index.

One thing which we need to do to improve the Trusts Digital Maturity Index is to regularly "horizon scan" to identify future "Digital / IT" opportunities which the trust might take up to improve patient care and report this to Board.

I started to think if the library might have a role to play - so for example the British Computer Society has a blog which does precisely this http://www.bcs.org/category/17705 - there may be others

Is anyone else involved in horizon scanning for this specific purpose and/or could suggest useful sources of information? Any ideas would be gratefully received.

I'll collate any responses for the list.

With many thanks

Helen
